Woongarra Shiraz 2005 This wine was made by Bruce Jones who relied on his skills as a surgeon and sound scientific knowledge to produce an exceptional first vintage. A cool climate Shiraz with clean, firm fresh flavours of red and black fruits, subtle oak and fine ripe tannins and some liquorice and spice on the way through, and a clean finish and aftertaste. Rated 90 by James Halliday and awarded silver medals in both the Victorian Wine Show and the Gippsland Wine Show. Drinking well now up until 2015.
